Leading greeting card franchise Card Connection has announced its Northampton territory is on the market for the first time in 17 years.

This franchise resale has been run as a profitable business since 1993 and is set in a good location. Andrew Cutler, sales director of Card Connection, says: “The opportunity to purchase the Northampton territory offers a prospective franchisee the rare opportunity to buy an established business with a loyal customer base.

“Yet, at the same time, there is the potential to expand into new retail outlets and we anticipate a candidate with the enthusiasm and drive that will be able to grow this franchise’s profitability to higher levels.”

Andrew continues: “Using a proven system, our franchisees select from more than 1,200 high-quality greetings cards to place ranges in retail outlets on a ‘consignment’ basis. This means the stock and display equipment is installed on free loan to the retailer and they only pay for what they sell.”

“This consignment sales model creates a ‘win-win’ situation for the retailers and has proved popular over the years.

“Our franchisees now supply convenience stores, sub post offices, petrol station forecourts and staff restaurants in large offices across the UK.  We also supply numerous national accounts, including Costcutter, Londis, Netto, Budgens, Spar and Haldanes.”

Card Connection has limited UK vacancies and the available opportunities now consist of acquiring territories from an existing franchisee. These vary in price according to their level of development, starting at £20,000 with earnings potential in excess of £50,000 per annum.
