CHALLENGE

David Rich has a long history in the commercial real estate industry previously serving as Vice President of a private investment company and Director of Acquisitions for a real estate investment trust. After working for others and successfully negotiating and closing over $1 billion in CRE transactions, Rich decided he wanted to open his own brokerage firm. 

He set out to find a commercial real estate platform that would provide the right tools and services to facilitate the level of success and output he was accustomed to. Rich sought a built-in support system that would allow him to focus on his strongest skills, management and recruitment, and also a national brand that would provide clients the comfort of knowing their business could be handled anywhere in the country. 

SOLUTION

After a discerning search, Rich decided to align himself with Sperry Van Ness International Corporation (SVNIC) and opened a franchise in August of 2010. Since starting his own business from scratch, Rich began with $0 in revenue. Utilizing SVN’s brand alignment strength, increased deal flow access across over 500 markets and Rich’s expert recruiting skills, Sperry Van Ness - Rich Investment Real Estate Partners added 12 new Advisors and grossed $1.1 million dollars in revenue in its first full year.

Since aligning with the SVN brand, Sperry Van Ness - Rich Investment Real Estate Partners has grown to over 25 Advisors, added an additional office in Ventura, CA and ended 2014 with approximately $2.5 million in revenue. Consistently ranked among the top SVN offices nationwide, Rich anticipates his 2015 revenue to be over $3 million.
