Leading pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has announced the opening of its Hull franchised store.   New franchisee Rohit (Rocky) Pahwa and his brother Lohit will run Hull and have ambitious plans to open up 20 Papa John’s within the next five years.

Rocky explains:  “I am very excited to be joining Papa John’s as a franchisee.  I’ve wanted this for a long time!   I originally qualified engineer but then worked for a competitive pizza delivery firm for ten years.  I started out as store manager and working my way up to area manager, responsible for 250 staff.  I’ve learned about the daily ups and downs of the pizza industry but have always wanted to run my own stores.

“I chose Papa John’s as the product is by far the best on the market.  Fresh ingredients make for a better flavour and it stands out from the crowd.  I also liked the fact that there is a lot of opportunity for growth at Papa John’s.  The company is expanding rapidly and supporting this with marketing like TV advertising and I was keen to become a part of that success story.

“I’m actually from Bristol but have recently moved to Hull in Yorkshire to open our first store.  I chose Hull because there is so much development, it is a certainly city on the up!  It has been named the city of culture for 2017 and this association can only be positive for Papa John’s.

“So far, I have been very impressed with the team at Papa John’s,” continues Rocky.  “Training has been particularly thorough and the support is great.  Business development manager, Anthony Round is really responsive and works hard to ensure all my questions are answered quickly.  I am confident and looking forward to the future with Papa John’s and we are already planning the opening of our next three stores!”
