Leading pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has announced it has just opened in Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan, just in-time for Christmas!   The Barry store is now run by school friends turned franchisees, John O’Brien and brothers Clif and Dale Roberson, who also manage Papa John’s in Pontypridd, Cwmbran, Caerphilly and Merthyr Tydfil.

Clif Roberson comments:  “We are very excited to open in Barry.  We all have a personal connection with the region as it’s where we enjoyed our holidays when growing up.  It’s great to be back, introducing the unique taste of Papa John’s to residents of the seaside resort.

“Barry is about 20 minutes from some of our other stores, so now we can market to a whole new customer base.  Holiday makers and local families alike can now enjoy our superior pizza made with only the freshest ingredients for a better flavour.  We also have lots of special opening offers to tempt customers!

“From a financial point of view we have been able to take advantage of Papa John’s special incentive scheme for franchisees, which gave us help with marketing plus some free equipment.  This is a real boost when opening a new store. 

“The good news is that everyone benefits from new businesses coming into an area and we have already employed 15 new local people and are currently recruiting for more staff.  We are all now looking forward to delivering on our promise of ‘Better Ingredients, Better Pizza’ supplying the local community around Barry.”
