Scots Get a Taste for Papa John’s!

15 January 2018

Leading pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has announced its latest store opening in Edinburgh, Sighthill.   The enterprise is very much a family affair, with franchisee George Eastcroft and his son Andrew, now running three Papa John’s in the City, employing around 60 local people.

George Eastcroft explains: “The Scottish people certainly seem to have developed a taste for Papa John’s!   When we started out in 2005 the Papa John’s brand was new in this area.  With just one store open in Glasgow plus our first outlet in Edinburgh, this changed over the years.

“Papa John’s popularity continues to grow, fuelled by our famous: BETTER INGREDIENTS.  BETTER PIZZA. concept, which means we only use the freshest ingredients for a better flavour,” continues George.   Customers just keep coming back for more!   Now, there are stores opening across the UK every week.

“Demand in Edinburgh now means we can look after a large part of the city, with the Sighthill opening covering the West side,” confirms George.  “We have been fortunate to take advantage of Papa John’s incentive scheme for franchisees which included a free pizza oven for the new store and help with marketing.  This has been a massive boost and has certainly made it easier for us to expand.  We are now looking forward to delivering our top-quality pizza to more customers throughout the Edinburgh area.”

Papa John’s was founded in the USA in 1984 and there are more than 350 stores across the UK and over 5,000 stores in more than 40 international markets and territories.  Papa John’s concept of:  BETTER INGREDIENTS.  BETTER PIZZA means only the freshest ingredients are used including fresh dough, never frozen, giving a better flavour.  This, plus the Company’s focus on excellent service, always keeps customers coming back for more!
