Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies, the successful tropical coffee chain, has just signed a new Master Franchise Agreement with Global Franchising Group. This means Kuwait will be the second country in the GCC to have a Maui Wowi Master Franchisee.

Mohammed Al-Rashidi, managing director for GF Group, commented: "I am very excited to be awarded the Master Franchise for the country of Kuwait. Our plan is for Maui Wowi Hawaiian Kuwait to be the international benchmark for coffee and smoothies."

Al-Rashidi founded the GF Group to develop franchising opportunities in Kuwait. By joining Maui Wowi he is hoping to create a new lifestyle-experience for coffee shop customers in Kuwait. The new franchise will serve premium beverages in a unique Hawaiian setting.

To stimulate expansion throughout Kuwait the company is developing new business models that will make the coffee chain look exciting and interesting for young entrepreneurs. The plan is eventually to open franchises throughout the GCC and the rest of the Middle East.

"We are pleased to welcome Mohammed to our rapidly expanding international 'Ohana’. We believe his vision for bringing the Aloha Spirit to Kuwait is in alignment with our international growth plan, and we look forward to working with him to develop his business,”, said executive vice president of Maui Wowi Hawaiian, Erin Hicks.
