Keynote presentation by industry leader

Abel Campos, Head of Franchising & Field Services at McDonald’s UK, will be delivering his highly-anticipated keynote speech at the event on Friday 16th June.

Attendees will learn about the vast range of opportunities franchising with McDonald’s provides, as well as some of the secrets behind the global brand’s success.

The growth of franchising

With McDonald’s aiming to increase the percentage of franchisee-owned stores internationally to 90 per cent by the end of 20182, there is no better time to join the unstoppable brand. In 2007, 26 per cent (8,078) of McDonald’s branches worldwide were owned by the company.

Over the past-decade, the number of franchisee-owned stores has risen significantly and now stands at 85 per cent (31,230)3. During his presentation entitled ‘McDonald’s: a progressive burger company’, Abel will delve into the company’s recent history and share his hopes for the future.

McDonald’s believe that choosing the right franchisees to be part of the McDonald’s system is a key factor in its success as a brand.

The popular Insight Sessions, hosted by key spokespeople from the business, will take place twice daily at The British Franchise Exhibition to give visitors a real taste of what being a McDonald’s franchisee entails.

Attendees can meet the McDonald's team and hear from franchisees who have taken the leap. McDonald’s first-class franchisee training programme will be covered in detail, allowing potential investors to find out if pursuing a future with the franchise is the right path for them.
